The Happy Birthday 2026 Stamp and Coin Cover is jointly issued by The Perth Mint and Australia Post. It combines an uncirculated Australian coin with an official postage stamp in a single collectable presentation.
The aluminium bronze coin has a monetary denomination of 1 Australian dollar. The reverse features coloured images of three iconic Australian animals: the koala, kangaroo and emu. Each animal is shown carrying a gift or birthday cake. The design includes the inscription “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”, the 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark. The reverse was designed by Ing Ing Jong.
The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, together with the monetary denomination.
The coin is housed within a specially designed card featuring a circular window that displays both sides of the coin. The card forms part of an official postal numismatic cover.
Affixed to the envelope is an official $1.70 Australia Post stamp. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
