We don't like having to write posts like this one.
We are aware that a website operating at oliviagracejewelry.store is trading under the name "Olivia & Grace Handcrafted", deliberately mimicking our business to confuse shoppers. Customers have been placing orders believing they're shopping with us, only to receive nothing at all, or cheap imitation jewellery that looks nothing like what was advertised.
To be crystal clear: we have no connection to this website whatsoever.
What is this site, exactly?
This isn't just one dodgy operator sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Research indicates this site is part of a large, organised scam network based in China that runs hundreds of fake retail storefronts simultaneously, each targeting a real business name to hijack their search traffic and brand recognition. They register cheap domain names, steal product images from legitimate retailers, advertise heavily on social media with too-good-to-be-true discounts, and then either send nothing or send cheap junk. Worse still, any personal and financial information entered at checkout is likely harvested and used for identity theft or sold on.
We want you to know this so you understand the full picture. This is not a small misunderstanding. It is an organised, deliberate fraud.
What we've done about it
As soon as we became aware of this site, we got to work. Here's what we've done so far:
We hold Australian Trade Mark No. 2616364 for OLIVIA & GRACE, accepted by IP Australia in March 2026, which gives us formal legal protection over our name. We have reported the site to Google Safe Browsing, Scamwatch, the ACCC, the Australian Cyber Security Centre, and the domain registrar directly, requesting the domain be suspended. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will take further action as our trade mark moves toward full registration.
The frustrating reality is that when a scam operation is running from overseas, there's only so much any small business can do to shut it down overnight. But we are not sitting still.
Been caught out? Here's what to do:
Don't panic. Contact your bank or credit card provider and ask about a chargeback. Most banks are very supportive in these situations, particularly where goods were not received or were significantly not as described. If you paid through PayPal, head straight to their Resolution Centre and raise a dispute. Act quickly, as there are time limits on these processes.
Olivia & Grace Giftware is our family business, named after our two daughters, and built right here in Mount Lawley. Every product we stock is something we've personally chosen because we believe in it. That's always been our thing, and it always will be.
The real us is right here, online at oliviaandgrace.com.au and in-store at 672 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley. If you're ever unsure, just reach out. We're always around.
With love (and mild fury on your behalf), Matt and the Olivia & Grace team
